Today is my last day at my job of almost two years.
Its bittersweet, but seems mostly sweet.
Sometimes endings can be hard because you dont want to move in the unknown
I wouldnt say my new position doesnt offer stability, its just the unknown

At my current job i know the ins and outs, the security
But its time to move on, have new experiences, all that good stuff
So im excited to see where this new position takes me

I had lunch with the girlies today to commence our Spring Break...

Somehow we landed on the discussion of what would we be like in 10 years???

i finally got to the point...
if you have read the blog before i have talked about finishing a certain book
of course i never stay on topic...
BUT finally i have decided on my first book
its gonna be about me...
I KNOW...i just have to tell the story, bc you have no idea the story...

I wanna try my best to be politically correct, and honest when I tell this story. I hope to not offend those who have trespassed against me, I must tell this story as is. I forgive you. I wanna to be able to make sure all the words are where they are suppose to be and everything comes off as it should. Do forgive me if it doesn’t..Im just a girl who thought she could get away without love…and she just wants to tell you how.

I don’t remember being born, for most people cant. I can barely remember the moment I was first aware of life, and that I was living. Because most of what I would consider living is in question. I never felt alive, in a sense that I mattered. I think this is the feeling most humans have, but everyone is so busy thinking they aren’t notice to even be noticed. I must say that I come from the typical black girl lost story. I don’t say this to be cliché, I say it because it is valid.

Its February time to celebrate for so many reasons

The most important one, that we should all recognize is my birthday.
I just know we all have been waiting for that.

There are things in our world that have always had a definition for us since we could remember. Pretty much the basics of our world.
So from time to time I question this things..and I use my favorite unreliable source Wikipedia to get the answer.

Today I wanted to explore time. Although have this definition of what time is in my head, what really is time?
Its hard to have a concrete answer to this question, for me anyway.

Wikipedia had to say this:

Time has been a major subject of religion, philosophy, and science, but defining time in a non-controversial manner applicable to all fields of study has consistently eluded the greatest scholars.

I totally agree…what is a non-controversial answer that can be applied in every situation for time?

Am I the only one who cares, or do you have this same feeling.

I wouldn’t begin to try to answer this right now, on this blog…but I will give it some thought, and maybe just maybe ill have an answer.

Ill just start there.

This morning I heard on the radio about an interview Lil Wayne did with GQ..

In which he states that he doesn’t believe in books..the Bible being one of them..
You cant trust anything in a book…and the only book he does believe in is the Dictionary

Wtf…that isn’t a direct quote..but those are the main points.
Number one I am so tired of this being the role model for black men.
I cant tell you how many times I have heard a black man say he doesn’t read, like he is suppose to get him cool points or something.
Such a turn off.
So does he believe that since what he says isn’t written in a book it is true?
Music can be held to the same standards of a book..there are too many song which have no validity.
I just don’t get this!

And yesterday I posted the clip of Jay-z acting a fool…someone who clearly knows better, or you would have thought knew better.
At some point you have to grow up, and evolve.
Whether they want ppl to look up to them or not, ppl do…so I feel you have a responsibility
You have a gift, and you are responsible for using in correctly…in my opinion.

So this is my 200th post!!!...I had no clue….but anyhow in honor of it being 200 I just decided to have a really random post, but not so random.
Btw the way I think random is way over used, but honestly it describes what I do really well…not so much for other ppl and their actions.

Back on task….so on Facebook I was tagged in a note that instructed me to say 16 things about myself, and here’s what I put

let see here...im suppose to write 16 things about myself off the top of my brain...
and since your are tagged you are suppose to do the same and tag along with 16 other ppl.
Those are the rules.

1. I never shake ppl's hand (well hardly), i tell them its bc my sweat(and they do)...but its really bc when i shake someone's hand i can feel their hand way after its over....i guess thats some type of phobia.

2. I decided that i have to break-up with myself, bc im too content being single.

3. I wanna live out of the country, but i never even traveled outside the country. EVER!

4.When i was a kid i use to wanna grown up and collect fossils,as my job. still kinda want to??!

5.I hate that i dont know how to sing, if i did i would surely be a star, but im really shy.

6. Whenever i first meet someone and they introduce themselves i never actually listen for their name.

9. This past year i stopped talking about ppl, but i cant stop in my head.

10. I think my son is the best kid anyone could have. not sure how i got so lucky.

13. I dont like money at all, and no one believes this.

15. I cant wait for everyone to be utterly surprised when they found out that all the crazy things i have to say are actually true. i mean that in every instance.

so im kinda sort of into astrology...but now i have moved to numerology.

there are so many ppl that are non-believers in this kinda of stuff....i can see why.
but i take the nature vs. nurture approach to life.
i feel that ppl are born with certain ways, and certainways they develop...and both combine to make someone who they are.

but anywho...the other day on the radio i heard a guy talking about numerology...and it intrigued me bc the day before i had brunch with some friends and we read over our numerology for the year to come....then no shortly after that i hear this guy is on the radio.

he actually considers himself an AstroNumerologist...where he combines both studies to read people...

so hints the best of both worlds.
if i could be still long enough i would actually consider taking time out to become one of these...but my spirit is way to restless for that.

so to avoid having a new year's resolution that i cant keep, i always start evaluating the current year mid-november...

i decide what was good about the year, what i need to cut out for the year ahead...all that good stuff.

but this time around i didnt have much time for idle thinking...so i honestly havent decided what the year ahead should hold for me.

according to Susan Miller next year ill be the celestial favorite(aquarius year of luck), and anything i want for the year to come shall be mine...as long as i know what that is.

she even suggested that i take december to decide what my path will be.

the only that i have decided for next year, and all the years that follow is to do things in the present...and spend every day doing something i have never done before in my life.

of course on most days it will be fairly small, but i would like to move to the big stuff...

last year it was to stop being judgemental, and talking about others. something i didnt do much of anyway.

whatever way the year goes i hope that it will be a good one, because im definitely not going back to the past.

you know one thing that's hard to do? stay Present...

and by that i mean not to be worried about things in the past that still haunt your today

and not be worried about your future...

Everyone always thinks their future is brighter than their today...

but it will only be that way if you cherish the moment in which you have presently....

because if you dont treasure that present moment, how do you expect to the treasure the moments ahead, or the future as it looks in our head.

as the saying goes the future has its roots into today...BUT that doesnt only pertain to what you do, but how you do it.

There are soooooo many people that cant wait to live it up once they get some money, but fail to do that in the present...

because look at this way

a. what if the money never comes(and even when it does it wont make you happy)

and

b. what if you never live pass today, then what?

i always have to remind myself to stay present...at moments it comes natural...but as in human nature i always wonder off to what about this, and i wonder if this will ever happen. its a constant struggle...

is that the most important relationship you can have

is with yourself..

and i would like to think that i have a very good one with myself

i know that in the end, no matter what i have, or who i have in my life or not in my life i have to be with myself

so its important to take of myself

if for instance you cant be by yourself in totally silence, still silence, just sit in silence and just be...then i would have to say that your relationship is totally off balance.

the fact that i love myself allows me to take care of those around me, and give to them what i choose to give to them.

its never more than i can handle, or any less.

the real point of this, is me buying flowers for myself the other day

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving…it feels nowhere near any holiday.

I went to the mall the other day and the Salvation Army guy was out ringing his bell chanting “Merry Christmas”.
I couldn’t help but laugh..i mean one because he was only saying Happy Thanksgiving only a few times compared to all the “Merry Christmas”.
And two because the thought of Christmas felt like a joke to me…I know im not the only one that feels this way
Seems like they started the preparation for Christmas a whole lot earlier this year…because they know how much Christmas is NOT on the consumers mind this year.
I think it will be an awful Christmas as it relates to sales.
Please believe the after Christmas sales are gonna be crazy this year, the retailers are gonna have to get rid of all that stuff no one purchased before Christmas.

Ill be saving my few duckies until then.

my life has becoming B to the b-o-r-i-n-g. and it has been reflective in this here blog

but what is a girl to do when she is exhausting her youth and trading it in for adulthood

in which you somehow chase those "dreams" you had all your life

because now its time to live up to all that you said you could be

and well it rather draining!

not to mention things have being going on personally...that im not allowed to even blog about

go without reading susan miller at the beginning of each month, things have gotten so crazy that i havent looked until this very moment.

deep sleep

Have you ever had one of those sleeps where its so deep that you aren’t even conscious of the things happening around you?
Well most times I don’t sleep deeply at all….but last night I had one of those nights where I was just sleeping away unconscious of the things that were going on around me. (this sounds really weird because when most people sleep things aren’t going on, but trust things were going on while I was sleep)

…anyhow this made me realize that whenever im in a deep sleep I also have a dream that I can remember vividly when I awake.
I don’t think I put that together until this moment.
My dream last night consisted of someone I know continuing to feed me all these orders for earrings….and I was all flabbergasted but they just kept reading them off like that weren’t even phased.
Real awkward dream…since I was suppose to be up working on earrings but instead I chose to sleep…but I couldn’t escape work.

I had another dream, but I cant remember it. It was after I woke up from the deep sleep, and I called myself returning to sleep.

...sidebar: i always feel like dreams are things God wants you to experience that you couldn’t possibly if you were awake, or some lesson that you need to be taught that you couldn’t get if you weren’t sitting still i.e. sleeping.
so i have an indescribably love for them.

so i went shopping around a bit in atlanta for some spots to put my jewelry yesterday...

at one of the stores the lady asked what one word would i use to describe my jewelry...

i hesitated a bit because i never thought about it, and i never like for people to ask me to sum things up in one word. but i get it thats the way the world works.

i say different....yeah real dumb answer, but i cleaned it up.

since i analyze everything before and after it happens i had to decide what would have been the best answer.

i decided....

Freedom + Love= not one word right?, yes i know.

but its as best i could do within the box of one word answers.

i pick this answer because i think a lot of love goes into what i create and its the freedom to just be me, and not have to be just one thing.

it speaks for all the things that i love about life...

it embodies the beauty of aesthetics to me,

it just feels good.

thats my answer and im sticking to it.

so the next time someone wants just one word...im prepared with two.

im just getting a moment to breath, and sit still since like last friday

but somehow it feels illegal, because i have a million things to do.

its like that illegal reading i do sometimes....ill read a leisure book when i have tons of chapters in my text book to be reading. that kinda feeling

6 weeks in the game, im doing pretty well.
